Daniel Štefl
Daniel is a dedicated software engineer, system engineer and scientist with
more than 15 years of experience in various positions in consumer electronics
firmware development, designing algorithmic trading solutions and databases
for stock exchanges or banks and projects in the aerospace industry working
mainly on ESA projects. Prior to co-founding Space Systems Czech, Daniel
worked as Software Engineer at the European Space Agency ESTEC TEC-SW. He
holds a PhD in Electronics and Informatics from Faculty of Electrical Engineering at University of West
Bohemia and continues to educate himself in space engineering.
Jacek Kujawa
Jacek is CEO of the Omnilogy company, Poland, and a project manager of the
EOCLIMLAB project. He has been involved in ESA projects since 2013 year. He is
an expert in IT monitoring systems and platforms for financial, energy and
public sectors.
Jáchym Čepický
Jáchym dealt with the development of GRASS GIS, then he started to hack in
Python. He contributes to the OpenLayers library and he collaborates on a
variety of web applications, such as the National Geoportal INSPIRE or
Geosense. He is the initiator and originator of the PyWPS project. He runs
GeoPython programming training, supports GRASS GIS training and web
mapping technologies. He is a founding member of the Open GeoInfrastructure
Association and a member of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation.
Jakub Hudec
Jakub works at the Investment and Business Development Agency CzechInvest
as Head of Start-ups and Development Section. He is involved in the
implementation of start-ups programmes in the Czech Republic.
Josef Laštovička
Josef is a PhD student at the Department of Applied Geoinformatics and
Cartography, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, where he deals
with the study of satellite technologies for the localization of disturbances in
forest ecosystems. He is also focused on 3D models of historical objects using
GIS methods.
Karel Kuželka
Karel is a researcher dealing with problems combining forestry and
geoinformatics, especially methods of collecting spatial data on forest stands
using modern technologies. His recent projects are focused on UAV-based close-
range photogrammetry and 3D point cloud processing for the use in forestry
and agriculture.
Karita Kasurinen
Karita work as the creative thinker, business developer and communicator in
the video AI startup Valossa. She also allocates her efforts in educating people
about entrepreneurship and building the startup community in the Northern
Finland. Outside the office she gives talks and organizes events that encourage
others to think different, discover new things and help them to be and act
smarter. As she has now immersed in the world of Artificial Intelligence she also
strives to convey the message of rising opportunities in the intersection of technology and business.
Luděk Kühr
Ludek co-founded a private company advising Czech and Central-European
private companies in the national and regional funding schemes and managing
development projects. Ludek also works as manager of research projects and
studies at BizGarden. Beside the managerial part, his work is mainly focused on
the development of marketing strategies and business models deploying
products and services which use space assets as enabling technologies. This
includes also cooperation with investors and venture capital partners who are interested in
investments in high-tech products or services.
Marek Aldorf
Marek works as ESA BIC Prague Programme Manager at the Investment and
Business Development Agency CzechInvest. His aim is to look for entrepreneurs
and young start-ups with innovative ideas for exploiting space technologies or
applications and help them to develop their non-space businesses on Earth.
Martin Havlíček
Martin works as Head of ICT development and project management in
government at Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic. He is a member of
Copernicus User Forum under EC Copernicus Committee (DG GROW) and he is
focused on Earth observation in agriculture. As CIO in National registry
authority, he is responsible for the land parcel information system in the Czech
Republic.
Mateusz Olszewski
Mateusz is very interested in image processing and machine learning. His work
is related to two topics: remote sensing and computer vision in robotics. At Blue
Dot Solutions he is also working on the TILQ project, an application monitoring
urban areas for temperature changes.
Michaela Kuchařová
Michaela has experience in embedded software development and testing for
aerospace. She has been working as a SW engineer and she has also knowledge
in data processing. Most recently she has been working in development team
for Digital Control Unit Application SW of Scatterometer Instrument and in team
for data integration for project Data Analytics Platform for Climate Resilience.
Michal Kolomazník
After couple of years as a finance manager and a purchasing manager Michal
took a chance to empower everyone to achieve more via Microsoft. He believes
that everyone can go that way. It is only about the perception of the change. He
has seen that, not only in companies like Microsoft or P&G within the Europe,
but also as a mentor working for global NGO in Asia there is nothing better than
the feeling we work together to open the unreachable doors for others using
the technology.
Ondřej Šváb
Ondrej Svab works as Head of Space Technologies and Applications Unit at
Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, where he is involved in European
space programmes and policy, and Earth observation. He is also a member of
the National secretariate GEO/Copernicus.
Přemysl Štych
Premysl works as the Head of Department of Applied Geoinformatics and
Cartography, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. He is also a
member of the National secretariate GEO/Copernicus and an expert guarantor
of the ESERO Czech Republic – European Space Education Resource Office. He is
professionally engaged mainly in long-term landscape changes, Earth
observation and GIS applications in natural sciences.
Tomáš Dočekal
Tomas is the Co-Founder & CEO at Kapacity which brings the digital revolution
to the world of tourist activity providers. Kapacity provides a complete platform
for online ticket selling and partnering directly with distributors, from cashdesks
to web apps. He also works as Business Development Consultant at Bileto –
company focusing on providing online services to transport companies. He
believes that flexibility and innovation are the key to business success.
Zdeněk Rudolský
Zdenek is Co-Founder of Impact Hubs in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, workspaces
for meetings, innovation and entrepreneurship. He is also Co-Founder of
consulting company Because. In the past, Zdenek was Director of the Amnesty
International Czech Republic. He has experience with coaching for startups,
business plans, feasibility studies, fundraising and crisis management.
